this is it.

i looked through my lecture notes already. tomorrow is the first day of school. shouldnt be a problem (:

wilson victor weihong and their gang came to melbourne for holiday! woots. saw them. wow. feels like home wahahah. i mean it feels so good to see your good old friends when youre so far away from home :D

went to the market this morning. did my laundry. cooked PASTA. read notes. sleep. totally training to be a housewife. shrugs.

you know. i accidentally crashed a tour on Friday in school. i thought it was for international students so i tagged along. turned out its for overseas exchange students. at first when i found out the tour is not for me im like shit. because its from 1 to 430pm so its pretty darn long and i already know the school already. but i decided to stay and see. it turned out to be one of my luckiest day of my life.

apparently since its a tour for overseas exchange students, the tour was designed to show off the university's research capabilities. so they showed us their commercial industrial standards research labs. it's not the school one of course. it belongs to commercial companies affiliated to the school. so the building was kind of like biopolis back in singapore i guess. i saw the lab coats hanging on the walls. with the names of the scientists sewn on. i was like wow. welcome to the big league boys.

then some postgraduates and professors explained their researches to us. which i must admit is pretty amazing. its not the usual science class experiments. this is the real thing. then they showed us their high tech equipment, some uber cool microscope etc etc.

lastly was a tour of the school anatomy museum which was supposed to be exclusive for only medicine, dentistry and nursing students.

it feels like the anxiety at the start line anticipating the opening gunshot to start the marathon.

the tour was truly inspirational and thought provoking. it reminded me of my thirst for knowledge in science. it rekindled my interest and passion for the subject. i am very lucky to have the chance to see all these things.

the way i crashed it was pretty funny too. i bumped into this sg guy from my faculty on the streets. i knew him before hand. we were chatting then he told me about the tour for international students. (apparently some admin staff accidentally put him on the list.) i was like hey no one told me. so he texted the details to me so i turned up on that day. if i didn't bump into him i wouldnt have known about the tour.

and the tour was very timely. the Friday before first week of school. let my passion burnnnnn. THANKYOU VERY MUCH. (:

thats why i believe. everything in life happens for a reason. (:

tomorrow school starts. this is it. crunch time. time to prove my worth. this is the reason why i travelled the oceans so far from home.

like jinyang said a person thrown into no man's land with no path for retreat fights best.

this feels like the anxiety at the start line while anticipating the opening gunshot to start the marathon.

like the king of pop michael jackson would have said,

this is it.
