GOSH. finally manage to log into blogger. da bian. BACK FOR LABOUR DAY BREAK. :D

PART 1

wouldnt be back for this weekend though. will be having the notorious field camp lolol. but dicky's sergeant told him this: 'field camp is for me to make it as hell-like as i can, but its for you to make it as fun as you can.' so darn true righttt.

hahahah ns is honestly not that bad lah. i have awesome section mates! ( in case they stumbled upon my blog :P ) and deep down inside i dont find it a waste of time like many other fellow ns men do. okie maybe 5 years ago i would find it pointless and meaningless. but now the problem of terrorism is real. the terrorist-who-shall-not-be-named ( LOL ) is on the loose. the commanding office of my school is right. we must not take what we have for granted. friends. family. even that hawker centre downstairs are things that we must protect. all these things that we treasure can be snatched away from us overnight. the officer also added. its not will singapore be targeted or not. but when singapore will be targeted. and when the time comes we must be ready to defend what is important to us. gosh am i running for presidency or something. LOL.

we had a rifle presenting ceremony at a small parade square at tekong facing singapore. my sergeant asked after the event if we know why we had the event at that location. he explained its because that piece of land overlooks singapore. it is to remind us why are we here for. to train to learn how to protect our glorious land.

if thou dont protect thee land whom shalt?

LOL okie pardon me if i spelled the previous line wrongly i am trying to imitate Shakespeare but i aint no literature student. :P

i am always happy to book out of camp. for obvious reasons! :P but it also reminds me the reason why i am in ns. the things outside tekong are the things i want to protect.

crap such a politically correct entry. so un-me :P i am not trying to convince anyone. nor am i trying to act noble or what. just, like always, plainly wanting to share my views. its better finding meaning in things you do than drowning yourself in self-pity right.
