open my eyes

Christina Grimmie is really really pretty. Maybe it is just the lighting or her eyeliner or how her fringe covers her face but ohmyyygosh. She is pretty alright. Ahh, now I can die a happy man.

I think I am in love, again. LOL.

Her beauty takes my breathe away. I think I have watched this video more than 10000 times. I watch it before I sleep and when I wake up. I can watch this video on loop all day.

I think I am dying a single man. Crap.

It was only just a dream.

Rah rah ah ah ah

Hate Lady Gaga all you want but she sure made quite an impact in the pop music scene. Yea she is weird and everything but the very same weirdness has inspired many other musicians to break the status quo and join the ranks in weirdness.

For those who are curious, she was an outcast when she was in high school - the
freak. That is why she has such a strange taste of style right now. She wants to be the outcast her fans can relate to so that nobody feels left out. Someone she wished she had when she was still a child. At least this was what she said long ago on the Ellen show.

(If only I remember something else more important like.. whatever that is in my biology textbook.)

All this freakish themes may well be just another marketing gimmick but she is talented nevertheless. You have to admit that her songs are downright catchy eh?

This is a video I saw on Collegehumour.com. It shows a bunch of guys doing acapella for Lady Gaga's Bad Romance with a twist. Seriously awesomeeee!

I want your love and I want your revenge.

Glee

Well well, turns out I have been procrastinating and postponing the update of this blog. I finally get to sit my ass down in front of my macbook and start doing some typing. This blog has been alive for so long, just can't let it die down like that, can we?

I finished the entire season of Glee in like.. 4 days? I didn't know what the dam show was about initially. I had the show in my hard drive because Brian passed it to me. Since it started with a "G", I had that warped idea that maybe it is somewhat similar to Gossip Girl. LOL. oops. I have to admit that was what made me want to watch the show. PHAIL. However, I still like the show! It gave me quite a shock initially though. I was like, "OMFG WTF IS THIS. WHY DID THEY START SINGING."

Well, it is pretty High School Musical-ish and all my dear friends should know that I am a huge fan of the franchise because of you-know-who. <3 Therefore, my verdict is that Glee is a pretty awesome show and is highly recommended! Even though there a few awkward scenes which I think it is awfully gay, even for my standards. ( Okay, NO I AM NOT GAY. ) I felt that for those parts, they are pushing it a little. It is as if they are trying to grab every single opportunity to break into a song, which seems to break the sequence of the storyline. I realise I must have lost most of you there. Never mind, moving on.

I must make a special mention of Dianna Agron, whom I think is the prettiest in the show. (:
Sure, Lea Michele can sing, that is why she is the female lead. But Dianna Agron is the one getting all the attention here, at least from me. HAWWTTT.

Okay, talking about something with more "depth". Defying Gravity is an amazing song! It is, absolutely. They featured the song as a duet in Glee and you can find the Glee version easily on youtube. However, the version that has been rocking my socks to the moon is sang by Kerry Ellis from her single CD,
Wicked in Rock. She is amazing, period. Watch the video below, you will never regret it, trust me. Pardon the camera for the first few seconds, it is as if the camera man was drunk or something.
Three words. O.M.G.

Orianthi Panagaris

I am proud to say that I did not jump onto the "Michael Jackson wagon" only after he died, which is kind of sad that I cannot say the same for most people. I have always be amazed and aware of his greatness.

I first saw Orianthi on stage with Michael Jackson. She is the lead guitarist for Michael Jackson's great comeback concert series that unfortunately never happened,
This Is It. To be handpicked by Michael Jackson to play for his supposedly last concert in his legendary music career, that must say a lot about this girl's talent and potential.

I mean, Michael Jackson had his own personal choices of guitarist. He chose her instead. I saw her play her guitar solo in the movie, This Is It, and she absolutely killed it. She played the guitar since she was freaking 6 years old.

She released her own album, Believe, late last year. She writes her own songs too. Kind of reminds me of Taylor Swift. Just that Taylor Swift's genre is country music. For this new upcoming star, it is rock all the way baby! I love a particular comment about her on Youtube, "She is SHREDDING it."

It is undeniable that she has skill. I have no idea how she moves her fingers so quickly. I am listening to her album. It seems average though. ):

Her lead single,
According To You, is really nice though! It is the song you guys heard playing in the background in the Youtube video. I seriously hope that some awesome music director write some really good songs for her so that her skill would not go to waste. ):

Let me share a quote from Wikipedia by her about Michael Jackson picking her to be his lead guitarist:
"I don’t know exactly why he picked me, but he watched my YouTube videos and loved them. He had his choice of guitar players, but I came in and played the ‘Beat It’ solo for him. Afterward he was so happy he got up and grabbed my arm and started walking up and down the stage area with me. He said, ‘Can you play once for me?’ He hired me that night. I wish he was still around. He made me believe in myself more, and I learned so much. Going into it, I thought it would be all about playing guitar solos. But the majority of it was playing chords and funky rhythms." - Orianthi

Michael Jackson's legend lives on.

kickass!

i just watched kickass yesterday. it's my first movie in melbourne! well. the ticket cost me 14bucks. and i had popcorn. i wanted it to be an enjoyable time. and boy oh boy. kickass freakin rocks. lol. it's a story about a loser geek who got sick of his life and wanted to be a superhero... with no superpowers. and then the storyline complicates and then.. you have to watch the movie to find out. :P

after watching the movie i think i found my new crush.

okay it is kind of sick since Chloe Moretz is only 13. so technically it is not a crush. but she simply amazed me in this movie. her acting is amazingly superb. seriously. not to mentioned that she is only 13?! what's a 13 year old doing in a movie full of gore, sex and violence anyway?! not to mention she joins in the fray and goes around killing everyone. my goodness. she is the coolest badass 13 year old i know. Lyndsy Fonseca is in the movie too and she would be the typical pretty girl that i would go all crazy over with. but nope. Chloe Moretz outshines her with her acting and ruthless killings.

when i watched the movie i was shocked. totally not i was expecting. the amount of violence was #@$!#@$@#. wth seriously. 'kill bill' standard and not for the light hearted.

i loved the movie so much that i went to google it. apparently it is a marvel comic adaptation of the same name. i thought the movie was insane enough. what the fish. the actual comic is like 10 times crazier. sex and violence MAGNIFIED. it's seriously sick. i didn't even read the comic myself. i simply wiki-ed it and i had enough. as a comic fan, this comic aint my cup of tea at all. :/ and the comic didn't have a happy ending like the movie. ): and yes, for those who watched the movie, the movie's ending is actually considered 'happier' compared to the comic.

and the movie is somewhat thought provoking. sometimes we get all hyped up and doing something, wanting to do some real good to this world. to have a great sense of purpose. but we never really think it through and jump right start into doing it. in the end to our horrors we find that things aint always as simple as it seems. and in the end we do more harm instead of helping others. :/

good thing the movie has a somewhat happy ending. phew.

i included the movie trailer! watch out for the small girl with purple wig. that's my girl, Chloe Moretz! :D ISNT SHE COOL OR WHAT. oh yea, this movie stars Nicholas Cage too! which is also quite shocking. not the typical 'national treasure' kind of disney family movie if you get what i mean.
