hahah part 2! hahah okie larh lets start proper! hope you guys are doing well. hahah. i dont know how much to blog about ns eh. hmm because they say must be careful with what you blog cannot disclose confidential information. wah lao sooo cool. :P

okie larh ns honestly aint that bad like what i heard from others lah. day 1 at night 1030 lights out. i 1030 sleep already leh! wah everyday i have been sleeping soundly. also dont know why. i remember last time when i was dam dam young my first night at my new babysitter house i also sleep till like a pig. my parents were puzzled lol. i dont get homesick at all.

okie let me explain why ns not that bad.

firstly. the freaking bed thicker than mine at home! OHMYGAWD. okie lah its not that the army bed is super duper thick. its the normal thickness just that my bed at home is thinner than normal lol.

secondly. can add rice till like free. seriously. best place for a pig like me. every meal i just keep adding rice. i think one meal eat near 3 bowls of rice. so shiok! then everytime when we leave the cookhouse my belly grew. you can physically see it bigger. lol so cool. then all my platoon mates were like 'wth? people come here train six pack you come here to gain one pack.' but my belly will slowly shrink back as the food get digested lah but next meal it will grow again lol.

ns is the best place to gain weight. i need to gain weight what i am soooo thin! :/ but as i eat like a pig i also got train what. so i make sure i gain muscles not FATS. lol.

thirdly. my bunk got SEA VIEW. soooo cool right! moreover the sea view is facing SINGAPORE. lol! i can see changi airport from tekong. home is so near yet so far!

fourthly. the obvious reason. you are forced to stay fit. lol. but its good to stay fit what!

most importantly. i get a tan. woots. because its dam dam hard for me to get a tan. if i go sentosa and sun bake myself whole day. i will get all black but 2 days later i will lose the tan again. :/ but in ns i get sun baked everyday! hahah so i dont lose the tan that easily. woots!

army tough not? of course tough lah! train soldiers leh. not tough how to protect our country! but honestly my np days more tough lah :P now government scared people complain this complain that so its more welfare now larh. as in they now pay more attention to your interests.

the only thing bad about ns is i am stuck on an island far from everything else. :/ my sergeant describe it as 'survivor' like the tv series lol. i was never so happy to read newspaper sia. because can know whats going on back at home. hahah its really totally cut away contact from outside leh! i am going to bring my mp3 in today so that i can listen to the radio! then can listen to outside news le woots.

goshness! i need to leave house soon. like 1 hour later. packed my bag already but havent bathed! arghh. and i still got soooo much to say. rawrrrr. and labour day i should be coming out again. but next weekend i am not coming out! got field camp lol. soo cool right camping in the jungle. so after labour day that friday they giving me day off woots. maybe i going back rv visit. but friday is first day of mid years sia. dont know should go back not. :/

oh and bmt is 9 weeks lah dumbos. the last 2 weeks is part of bmt. just that after these 2 weeks im supposedly able to go home every weekends. :D


hahaha shucks i really got so much to blog about. i even wrote down some while i was in camp. so that i dont forget! lol. arghh arghh.

oh this morning was supposed to eat breakfast with my sister at dont know where. then it became lunch cause i woke up late. :P then in the end it become family lunch as my parents decided to tag along. LOL. haha okie this is totally random

yo whatssup! okie i must faster get to the point lol. it will be a few series of entries. the last few entries before this blog will be dead for 2 weeks lol. you all can choose to read an entry a day or something. just nice nice space out lah. if not you guys will abandon my dear blog. in other words. hope you guys help me take care of my blog while i am away! :D i cannot come here for 2 weeks so you guys must do it in my place. haahahha.

okie get to the point. PART 1 of dont know how many parts.

this post is about teaching as a whole and 3J!! lol. okie lah other classes also lah heh.

i first taught 3J as a social studies teacher. like.. what de righttt! me? social studies? lol i was reliefing for miss mak. ahahha not typing her name here heh. well i know nuts about social studies. have not done a SBQ for like 2 years or more. they asked me how to do reliability questions. i was like wth?! lol how am i supposed to know.

nevertheless i tried to explain. i wrote 'cross-reference' on the whiteboard then i thought 'what the. better dont anyhow teach them.' so i erased it and told the class. 'i dont know.' they gave me the 'you are a teacher and you dont know?!' look. >_< diao.

lol for the rest of the sec3 classes that day i told them it was a test so they are not supposed to ask me. HEH. smart rightt!

due to a certain twist of fate. i am back in school! teaching 4A 4E 3E and of course 3J biology. it had been a hectic 2 weeks i swear. the schedule given to be is soo screwed up. the first few days i followed the schedule faithfully and ended up screwing myself up.

in the end i was pretty much deciding for myself what do to in class. practical or no practical. etc etc. so i pretty much did everything a typical teacher does. there are people who doubt my decisions as i am merely just a relief teacher. but i am thankful that mrs lim supported me and made things easier for me. alot people thinks that relief teacher is a slack job. shake leg all day get 65 bucks go home. go eat da bian lah. its slack if you dont treat it seriously lol. this kind of no backbone money you want to take? good for you.

marking assignments is a nightmare. i swear. its so duper super wuper sianzxzxzxz. whenever i reach the essay questions i pray that the student forgot to do. then woots! all i need to do is write a question mark! lolol.

for the two weeks i covered cellular transport, biological molecues, digestive system for the sec3s. okie only the last one is need to teach in class. the first two is just help them revise abit.
as for the sec4s i covered nervous system, eye, and transport in plants.

okie what i mean by covered means i need to enter the class with the knowledge about that few chapters. which totally sucks. because most of those chapters are not covered in JC. so i didnt touch that few chapters for 2 years.so those chapters are not really my forte. most of the time in class i look dam noobish. zzz. when a student ask me a question i need to stop and think and recall what i learnt dam long ago. dam noob right.

its totally different in sec1 classes. its not that they are lower level. but its that they are learning about cells etc etc. which i learnt in JC so the information is still quite fresh. i didnt need to prepare lessons i can easily go into class with only a marker and free style. soo cool right!

but for the upper sec is different. i used powerpoint slides omg. which honestly i dislike. totally restricts my teaching. and the slides totally steals the limelight from me. lol. they practically copy everything on the slides. which on the other hand is good for them. moreover those few topics i also not very strong. zzz.

those 2 weeks are the days where i frequent wikipedia till wah seh. lol. and its not i wiki about stuff like.. i dont know people's names or what not. i wiki biological terms. then i tried to read up. lmao. wiki is really amazing heh.

but teaching has really made me thankful and appreciate what my teachers have done. i gave me another point of view. its really not an easy job lol. i am that kind of lazy ass who wakes up at 12pm if possible. suddenly i needed to wake up 630am for 2 weeks in a row. omg i almost died. thats why early in the morning i always dam dao.

there are things i forgot that i am working. okie i totally forgot that i am working. right from day1 as a social studies teacher. i totally forgot that i am getting paid for what i do. i realise i didnt do it for the money already. this week tuesday i went back for napfa. i didnt went back because i get easy cash. honestly. its not a good enough reason for me to take just a long bus ride there and back. i went back to visit and see how are the students doing lol. after all i going NS soon. okie going ns later. -.- i need every chance i can to go back now.

but i dont know i will be teaching anymore. i never considered teaching as a life long career. i cant imagine teaching at an age of 40. i mean. maybe i find it fun now because i am still relatively young thats why i can relate to the students and interact with them better. when i become an old man how can i communicate with them?

i honestly hope that i never teach anything wrong during my brief teaching career though. :X i tried my best to make sure i teach everything correctly.

ohoh. aprils fool was dam fun lah! teaching gives me the opportunity to prank SOOOO many people at the same time! :D for 3J i used chrysanthemum tea to fake as URINE. LOL. for their biololgy practical. but i think they realised the next day. i never admit though. but their reactions to the 'urine' was soooo classic. seriosuly LOL. i even ask them to wear gloves when they handle the 'urine'. wahhahahaha.

oh i tricked them that the next day got biology test. somemore that day is cca day so they going home late. wah seh. they were so dam pissed that i tell them so last min. LOL. when i tell them it was a prank they felt more relief but even more pissed. LOL. shiokkk!

3E their practical i tricked them that it was a surprise practical test. even though it was april 2nd. :P some of them doubted me and thought that is was a prank. but i stayed cool and continued with the prank with my superb acting. wah then they all momentarily stunned. they didnt know how to react. they were not prepared. LOL. they just paused and stare in disbelieve. then i told them it was a prank they ZZZZZZZZZ. then one student asked 'mr chow what joy do you find in tricking us?' i grinned and said 'alot.' LOL.

4A had practical too. i went to take the frog sample and put on my table.
'okie class take your stool and come infront to the teacher's desk. okie later when you cut the frog you all must take note of the organs. this is the heart. can you all see? this long thing is the small intestine. blah blah blah.'

'mr chow whats the point of this practical?'

'what you mean?'

'like what chapter is this practical under?'

'sorry i dont believe in biology in the textbook kind of way. we dont just study biology to take exams.'

'okie later 2 person share one frog. each pair take a pair of forceps, white tile, and a knife and go back to your seats. i go take the frogs.'

'okie class actually today we are doing practical about boring transport in plants.'

-everyone instantly sian diao- LOL. WAH SEH. you guys should have seen their faces. full of disappointment. wahahahahah. i am evilllllllll.

then during the practical one girl said 'wah bio dam boring lah' LOL.

on my last day 3J made use of me to pon their cca. lol i gave them extra lesson. okie lah its because next lesson they are supposed to have a test and they seem unprepared. and i needed to finish going through one assignment. after that we took a class photo! okie not full class. just with some of the students. but they have not sent me the photos! ): and basket! they used the visualizer to take photos of me secretly! zzz. idiots. heard they project it on the screen in school yesterday and zoomed in on my face. da bian lah. the visualizer photos super unglam can! >_< DELETE LARH ZZ.

they gave me a 'card'! okie larh its a a page of a magazine and a paper with messages written sticked to it at the back. it is dam cool. next time maybe i take photos show you all. then they cut out a photo of many sheeps. then they named all the sheeps with all the students in the class. lolol. then the fattest one they name me. da bian lah i am anything but fat CAN. but i really appreciate it! think the magazine cut up is si yi do one right! thanks alot to everyone(: lol because i am never good with names i didnt remember most of their names. so they gave me their class sitting arrangement list. because i still remember where they sit what. so i can check what are their names. lol so that i know who wrote what on the paper.

ironically on the last day of my teaching days. friday. i learnt most of their names. hahahaah. dont know why i suddenly was able to remember. 3J jiayou k dont give up on biology! most importantly dont give up on yourselves! heh okie larh all the students i taught before. jiayou bah! hope that i see you around next time if i visit rv!

the sec4 classes. mr chow wanted me to go through mostly assignments. go through assignments also dont need teach alot what just sit there flash answers. so less interaction.

okie this is one long entry. zzz. i dont like writing long entries. because i know most people skip them zzz. diao.

i enjoyed teaching. i really did. i had fun! yes i agree it is tiring at times. but at the end of the day after seeing all the little kiddos. its all worth it!

just wrote 2 super long emails. yesterday went back rv for napfa. later should be going back rv to play basketball. then tomorrow cutting botak.

wah i have been saying 'today is my last day in rv' but didnt know i will be going back to rv till really my last last day lol. -.-

okie dear readers lol this is a short update. have been going out everyday. meeting lots of people. everyone with their "must do now if not cant do it for the next 2 years" talk. everyone has been acting like going ns is like freezing myself in ice, only to be thawed two years later. >_< so everyone is rushing to meet everyone for the 'last meeting' before the boys go ns. lol. well its not as if we are going a far far away island and isolate ourselves. wait a min. we sort of are. zzzzzzz. lol. but its only 2 weeks man. no worries heh. after that we can come out every weekends!

so these 3 days i have watched TWO movies. the bucket list and semi-pro. the bucket list is an inspiring comedy. its nice! (: but i think it can be more touching hahah. its about 2 old man who are about to die completing a bucket list. a list of things they need to do before they kick the bucket.

semi-pro is basketball related! :D lol its FREAKING funny. stupid humor. lolol. but there is a scene which made my eyes tear abit. :X there is a touching scene in the movie k. lol i think its not touching to alot people but it is to me! you guys need to watch the movie and see if you all spot the touching scene! heh.

alot of outings but all need to upload photos! shall post them when i got the photos. heh.
